Istar Solar® Jupiter™ streetlight is a very efficient and autonomous system used to light roads, crossings, car parkings, gardens and many other places where the electric grid is missing or where people doesn’t want to execute trench works, excavations, and installation of cables, etc.
During the day the photovoltaic modules produce electric power which is stored in to the batteries. At sunset this energy is used to switch on the SOX lamp, that lights the area for a minimum 8-10 hours/night.
Thanks to a night-light device buit into the programming solar equipment, the lamp is automatically switched on at sunset ancd switched off at sunrise.
This night-light function gives also the possibility to set the switch on and off of the lamp according to the customer’s needs.
The programming solar equipment (electronic converter + charge controller with night-light function) has been properly designed for PV streetlight systems and has all the main functions needed to the proper use of the streetlight: charge controller, “special” timer to switch on and off lamp, temperature compensation. All these functions are into just one intelligent converter, and make this system highly easy and efficient, thus avoiding to add a lot of components into this system.
Istar Solar® Jupiter™ streetlight is very easy to install and it’s completely indipendence of the grid increases his “efficiency” in case of black-out.
It’s long-life is due both to the high quality of the components used in this system, but to the lack of maintenance works too.
The Die-Cast fixture made up of an aluminuim reflector of hight purity, is complete of 1 Sox bulb yellow light 18 or 26W with luminous flow of 1800 and 3700 lumen respectevely.

The Top-of-Pole mount KIT is available on request and this structure is composed of a stainless steel box to contain batteries and electronic equipment, supporting structures on which install the modules and a lamp bracket.
This kit is a good solution in case people don’t want to put batteries underground and also to avoid the theft of components.
